The first "2001 Addition," they were made to commemorate the new century. True to the originals in high-top form, they feature a grey-based nubuck upper with silver accents. A Japan exclusive, they were limited to 2,001 pairs, individually numbered on the inside tongue tag. Kicking things up a notch was the packaging. They came in a silver suitcase, a predecessor to the Air Jordan XVII's. The main difference between the two cases is that the Air Jordan 1 Retro came with a set of keys to open to case while the AJ 17 cases just had notches you flipped open.
